Law enforcement examining a incident of suspected arson at a Islamic center in the region have made public pictures of two individuals they wish to locate.

Firefighters were called to the religious building on the location in Peacehaven at around 21:50 local time on the weekend.

While no-one was injured in the occurrence, the main doorway of the structure and a car left nearby were affected as stated by investigators, who are investigating it as a bias incident.

There is fresh concern regarding protection at places of worship after the incident near a synagogue in the city on recently, in which individuals were fatally injured.

The person involved, who was killed at the scene, has been revealed as an individual aged 35 the perpetrator, a UK national of Syrian descent.

Tariq Jung, chair of a local organization, stated the community was "extremely disturbed and horrified" by the incidents in the two areas.

He said that, without considering whether worshippers were of Jewish faith, Christian believers, Hindu or Muslim, the "least expected outcome" they should foresee was that someone would attempt to endanger them.

"I hope faith leaders and further members in the neighborhood will collaborate to work towards harmony," he told radio stations.

Campaign group Brighton and Hove Stand Up to Racism stated the situation had not arisen out of a "void".

"Over recent weeks now, racist and fascist groups... have been inciting an atmosphere of animosity and coercion against black and Asian people throughout the South Sussex coast with symbols, labels and biased markings," they reported.

The elected official, Labour MP for the district, described the incident on the facility "disgusting".

He stated: "The fact that there were no injuries is only accidental.

"Such aggression and prejudice has no place in our tranquil, tolerant area. Authorities will eliminate it and we support with everyone impacted."

The council leader, chair of the local authority, remarked Islamic community members in the town had the "unwavering support and solidarity" of the local authority.

"Know for certain, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the community," she expressed.
